B.Sc. Medical Radiography and Imaging Technology is an undergraduate course of three years duration that teaches the students about the diagnostic procedures such as X-ray, CT scan, MRI scan etc, Radiation Physics, Human Anatomy and Pathology, Radiography Procedures, Imaging Techniques and modality, Patient care and Medical Ethics. The program aims in giving both the theories and practical experience in order to generate competent radiography technicians. Undergraduate and postgraduate students are trained in leading hospitals to master the skills in conducting imaging procedures such as X-ray, CT scan, MRI scans, etc. The span of the full-time course is 3 years, which include class lessons and practicals through internships. Some institutes also provide four years duration but one year is for internship.
Only the following common entrance tests are accepted for admission purpose: NEET UG, JEE Main, AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam, JIPMER MBBS Entrance Exam, AMU MBBS Entrance Exam, BHU UET Medical Entrance Test, AFMC MBBS Entrance Exam, MGIMS Wardha Entrance Test, COMEDK UGET Medical Entrance Exam and state level common entrance tests. Apart from having to pass the entrance test another hurdle that the students have to overcome is satisfying the other requirements that colleges have such as age, qualification marks and the like. Another requirement for admission is passing the medical fitness requirements.
