BTech LLB is one of the integrated law where students pursue to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Technology (BTech) along with Bachelor of Law (LLB). It is a 5-year long program for attaining training in engineering and legal subjects. This means students are able to study major engineering course like Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science while at the same time studying basic law courses such as Constitutional Law, Legal Theory, Criminal Law.
The students who have completed their Class 12 can opt for BTech LLB through several different entrance tests conducted at national as well as state level. The national level tests include the CLAT, LSAT, AILET, UL-SAT, BVP CET Law and IPU CET Law. These tests are conducted by the top law schools and private universities that admit students into the integrated BTech LLB programme.

1. Appear for CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) entrance exam after 12th grade. CLAT is the main exam for admission to integrated BTech LLB programs at various National Law Universities.
2. Check if you meet the eligibility criteria set by the universities you wish to apply to - criteria may include minimum marks in 12th boards, CLAT score, etc.
3. Apply to the universities you are interested in before the application deadline. Many universities have an online application process through their websites.
4. If shortlisted, you will be called for counseling rounds where you can select your preferred NLU as per your CLAT rank and score.
5. Once allotted a seat, complete the admission formalities like payment of fees, submitting documents and joining the program at the allotted NLU.
6. The standard BTech LLB program duration is 5 years - 3 years of BTech courses and 2 years of LLB. Some universities also offer integrated BTech LLB Honors which is 5.5 years.
7. The curricula usually allows students to get both degrees - BTech and LLB within the program duration without needing to write another entrance exam for LLB.
