The Certificate in Tourism and Travel Management is a vocationally oriented short-term course that offers instruction in travel agency management, tour operation, transport services, accommodation services, and other related fields of tourism. This certificate course spans 6 months to 1 year and covers the necessary skills and knowledge needed for employment in different jobs within the tourism sector including travel consultants, tour operators, transport handlers, front office and reservation agents.
The admission requirement for the Certificate in Tourism and Travel Management are 10+2 pass or equivalent qualification from any recognized board. Most institutes prefer the candidate’s results of the 10+2 examinations for admission purposes. Besides, some of the colleges have their own entrance examination while others use the scores of hotel management Joint/Common Entrance Exam like NCHMCT JEE and other state level examinations to offer admission to this program.

1. 10+2 passed in any stream from any recognized board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
2. Candidates who have passed 10+2 examinations can also apply for the course provisionally though the candidates must meet the eligibility criteria in future in order to complete the course.
3. This certification course has no upper age limit of the candidate to enroll for the same. It can be done by a fresher who has just passed 12th or any working professional.
4. Fluency in the English language is a requirement due to the fact that the medium of instruction in most institutes is English.
5. It is recommended that one should have basic computer literacy and working knowledge of the MS Office applications to take this course.
6. While some institutes take written exams after which they conduct interviews, some others admit candidates directly based on their 12th standard percentage.
