Diploma in Art and Craft is an under the degree diploma level course of 1 to 2 years duration in the creative field of arts. This course is designed to equip the learners with broad knowledge and practical skills in different fields of art and craft such as; painting, sculpture, drawing, print making, ceramics, textile designing and jewelry designing. Duration of the programme offered is one year for those with 10+2 qualification and two years for those with Class X qualification.
The entrance tests accepted for the Admission in Diploma in Art and Craft courses, the various entrance tests accepted are: NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture), CEED (Common Entrance Exam for Design), UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design), NID (National Institute of Design) DAT Prelims, College level test for creative ability, drawing skills.

1. Minimum 50% marks in 10th from a recognized board.
2. The eligibility criteria for the 10th standard students are that they can be from any stream such as Science, Commerce, or Humanities.
3. Any age group is allowed to take admission in this course and there is no upper age limit. Any candidate who is either a pass out or has some experience in the field can apply.
4. Admission is granted after passing an entrance examination that is set and administered by the institute in question.
