Diploma in Clinical Biochemistry as the name suggests is a diploma level one year training program in the stream of biochemistry with an emphasis on clinical discipline. This course offers orientation on different methods of sample analysis in a laboratory particularly sample types including blood, urine, tissue samples. It also ensures that the students learn modern instrumentation techniques which also entails good laboratory practices. There are some of the major topics taught in the curriculum as follows biochemistry, clinical chemistry and analytical techniques, medical microbiology, hematology, molecular diagnostics, quality control practices.
Some of the entrance exams accepted for admission to the Diploma in Clinical Biochemistry program are: Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with science stream with subjects like chemistry, biology etc. with minimum 50% marks (40% for reserved category students). Other entrance tests such as Kerala CEE, CET Delhi, OJEE, WBJEE.

1. Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination in science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) from any recognized board with minimum 50% of the total aggregate.

3. This diploma course does not have restriction in terms of age limit of the students who wish to enroll in it.
4. The students who wish to appear for the 10+2 science examination can also apply on the provisional basis.
5. The admission criteria may involve a separate entrance exam for the institute, or they may base their admission on the 10+2 scores.
