Diploma in Diabetology is a on-year diploma level course where the student is introduced to diabetes, its classification, causes, pathology, diagnosis, treatment and management. It also covers information concerning the various types of diabetes, the administration of insulin therapy, available diabetics medications, diet, exercise, and other related complications. The main courses of the study usually include anatomy & physiology, biochemistry, pathology & pharmacology, nutrition, psychology subjects concerning diabetes and practical training

To be admitted to Diploma in Diabetology course, the candidate must have the qualification of 10+2 or equivalent qualification in science stream. Some colleges conduct their own entrance exam but widely accepted national level tests for entry are: This includes the NEET UG exam by NTA where minimum of 50% in PCB is compulsory, AMU Entrance Test, BHU UET, CUCET UG for central university.

Diploma in Diabetology Course Eligibility 2024

1. MBBS degree from a university that is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or any other equivalent medical qualification.

2. A bachelor’s degree in any field, one-year internship training from a hospital or an institution as recognized by the Medical Council of India. 

3. Having registration Number in any state medical council or the medical council of India for practicing medicine in India.

4. Possess at least three years of work experience in practice of general medicine.

5. Intense passion and inherent ability that one would like to develop a career or have a focus on the subject of diabetology. 

6. Has to pass an entrance examination conducted for him or her by the institute or the program offering the diploma course. Some institutes may common direct interviews.
