Diploma in Event Management is a 1-2 year diploma Level course that offers knowledge on ideas such as event planning, logistics, cost control, public relations, advertising which can be useful for a career in event management field. It entails skills in the formulation of administrative and management policies, students are trained through internship, workshops and seminars to enable them to effectively coordinate events.
To date, there is no standard entrance examination in the country that students need to pass to gain admission into the diploma courses in event management. The admission process is mainly based on the qualifying 10+2 from a recognized board only. Certain colleges however may have their own separate test which includes aptitude test questions, English language test, group discussions and interviews to know the overall understanding and inclination of the student.

1. Minimum qualification: Matriculation with at least 10+2 pass in any stream from a recognized board.
2. General category students must have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate of 10+2 examination and 45% for SC/ST/OBC students.
3. There is no age restriction but is most commonly used for clients who are within the age of 30 years.
4. The medium of instruction is English, so fluency in English is mandatory for students pursuing courses in KIIT.
5. Previous experience of computers is desirable since the course entails use of applications.
6. Within the framework of the requirements, the creative approach, effective communication, and motivation to work are expected from the candidate.
