Diploma in Neuro Nursing is a 1-year diploma level course in the field of of neurology nursing. This course offers knowledge and skills in managing neurologically impaired patients and those who have sustained a head injury. It includes the topics like the anatomical and physiological basis of the nervous system, development of neurological disorders, neurological diagnostics, pharmacology of neurological drugs, the nursing management of patients with neurological problems, nursing care of neurological surgical.
Aspiring students who wish to enroll in this course should have completed standard 12 or any equivalent examination with a minimum of 40% pass mark in physics, chemistry and biology. Several institutes use performance in entrance examination such as BSc Nursing Entrance Test of AIIMS, IGNOU Post Basic BSc Nursing Entrance Test, RAK College of Nursing Entrance Examination, or Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences, Nursing Entrance Examination for admission. Many colleges hold their own examination for admission of candidates to this course.
