Diploma in Pediatrics is a diploma level course in the specialization of Pediatrics and it is also a one year course. It embraces different areas of interest in children’s health and illnesses such as neonatal care, communicable diseases, child nutrition, surgical procedures in children and pediatric genetics.
The duration of Diploma in Pediatrics course is usually 12 months, but besides that, the students are taught in classrooms as well as through practical experience within hospitals. They also offer certificate courses of 6 months in pediatrics for nurses and other paramedical staff. The Entrance exams which are accepted for admission in the Diploma in Pediatrics program are NEET-PG, AIIMS PG, JIPMER PG, PGI Chandigarh and other State CETs.

1. Candidate passed in 10+2 in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 50% marks from any recognized board/University.

3. Diploma in Pediatrics is one among the qualification course following the MBBS.
4. It is the duty of the nursing candidates to have passed GNM or BSc Nursing course to be appropriate for the job.

1. Possess a complete MBBS degree or an equivalent medical qualification as recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
2. Have provisional /permanent registration with state medical council or Medical council of India.
3. Shall have minimum one-year clinical experience as a medical officer.
