Diploma in Public Administration is a 1-year diploma level course designed to provide knowledge and understanding on different fields of public administration and governance. It gives an insight about organizational theory, administrative law, the process of policy analysis and policy implementation. It is aimed at building managerial and administrative capabilities for public service careers. The minimum eligibility ranges from 10+2 to graduation from a recognized board in case of regular students. The duration of the Diploma in Public Administration course is usually one academic year consisting of two semesters

The State Common Entrance Tests, other tests conducted for individual college admissions, qualifying Senior Secondary school or Higher Secondary school results. A large number of public universities admit students on the basis of merit in qualifying examinations. Some of the private institutes may also have their own entrance tests for offering admission in this course. These programs equip students for taking up administrative roles in governmental organizations, public sectors and non-profit organizations in the field of public service.

Diploma in Public Administration Course Eligibility 2024

1. A candidate should have passed 10+2 examinations in any stream from any recognized board. 

2. The admission in this course is open to all age students and anyone can join this course. It is also open for recruitment on freshers who have completed their 12th standard as well as employees and working persons.

3. Some of the colleges may have a minimum percentage for passing in 10+2 which may be between 40% to 50%.

4. These diploma programs also admit students who are sitting for their final examinations in Class 12 of their schools.  

5. It has no entrance examination or standardized test for students seeking admission into the institution. Universities have their own admission policies.  

6. Students are normally selected on the basis of their academic excellence and a round of interview conducted by the colleges.
