Diploma in Translation is another 1 year diploma level course which prepares students for translating from one language to another or from a set of languages to another. Some of the topics that are being covered in this course are translation theory, tools in computer assisted translation, specialized terminology and cultural differences. The program duration is 12 months, 2-3 semesters of full-time study for students who have no undergraduate degree.
The entry qualification accepted for enrolment to Diploma in Translation programs include language proficiency tests to check on a candidate’s ability to read, write, speak and listen to English besides other foreign languages. This may include IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge English tests, FCE, CAE or CPE or DALF/DELF tests for French, Goethe exam for German language etc. Other than this, instituting their own written tests and/or interviews to determine the capability, efficiency and interest of a candidate in translation before offering admission may be conducted. A candidate’s performance in the bachelor’s degree is also taken into consideration if the candidate had done his/her under graduation before doing this course.

Eligibility | 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent qualification from a recognized board, with proficiency in two languages (typically English and another language). |
1. Minimum of 10+2 pass in any stream from a recognized board and must possess a minimum 50% marks.
2. It will also be opened to graduates of any discipline of the University.
3. Candidates should have passed 10+2 or Graduation in any stream with atleast one of the foreign language. English language profiCiency is required.
4. Qualification: notable communication and writing abilities, language interest, and translation work.
5. There is no age restriction, however to specific institutes may have age bar up to 30 to 35 years.
