Master in Management Studies (MMS) in Marketing is a 2-year full-time post-graduate course that offers specialized training in marketing and business management. Some of the key areas of marketing that the entails include consumer behavior, digital marketing, branding, sales and distribution management. Secondly, the students are also taught general management concepts such as business economics, finance, human resource management and operations management. The curriculum is designed to ensure students are fit for mid to senior level marketing and management jobs in various sectors.
Full-time MMS in Marketing usually takes two years and is broken into four semesters. There is also a part-time program that takes 3 years to complete in some institutes. The acceptable entrance examination for MMS in Marketing admissions include CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA and state level examinations like MAH-CET. Many colleges also admit candidates based on their performance in bachelor’s degree as well as in other examinations. Group Discussion and Personal interview are the additional processes that the short listed candidates undergo along with their written entrance test scores before they get admitted into the university. Employment is not necessarily required to join MMS courses immediately after the completion of the degree.
