MBA (IT) stands for Master of Business Administration in Information Technology, is a 2 year postgraduate degree program in management with special emphasis on IT and business skills. The core business courses taught to the students include finance, marketing, business analytics, and strategy among other courses, and the specialized courses in the information management include information systems management, database management, data analytics.
Some of the management entrance tests accepted for admission in MBA (IT) courses in various universities/institutions of India are CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT and other test conducted at state level. That is, applicants are selection based on their performance in any of these exams or academics, entrance test scores, work experience. As for the majority of colleges, they also have group discussions, personal interviews and other rounds to go through.
