MBA in Interior Design is a two-year postgraduate management degree where the concept of interior design is integrated with basic business concepts. This course offers good business sense coupled with enhanced technical and creative skills in space planning, colour schemes, beauty and the usage of materials, time management, and many others. The curriculum prepares students for leadership positions that involve managing business growth, operations, and strategies in interior design firms, architectural practices, real estate development companies, hospitality groups, and other related industries.
Some of the entrance exams accepted for admissions in MBA Interior Design course are CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, CMAT, ATMA and state level entrance exams. preference can also be given on the GD / PI basis, with prior experience within the field of interior designing, architecture or any other related stream. The minimum requirement is a four-year Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, obtained with at least 50% marks from a university. Students undergoing their final year graduation are also eligible to apply.

1. To become eligible for the MBA program, the candidate has to complete a bachelor’s degree of any field with 50% marks from any university. Prior experience in interior design fields like architecture or fine arts is considered desirable.
2. Entrance exam scores such as CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT or state level exam scores if any must have been done. Some institutes may also conduct their own entrance tests as well However, there is no fixed date for the term, as it may vary depending on the institute and the entrance test to be taken.
3. Some institutes may require 2-3 years of work experience in related fields like architecture or construction or designing etc. Freshers can also apply in institutes where they have not mentioned work experience as a requirement.
4. In most institutes a statement of purpose in which you must state your reason and interest to undertake this course are required. One should prepare strong creative portfolio.
5. Selection for the respective company shall be done through an evaluation of the candidate’s performance in the personal interview rounds in regard to interests, aptitude, creativity and communication skills.
