The M.Com (Master of Commerce) in Financial Management is a 2 years full time post graduation program that offers deeper understanding of the concepts and practices associated with different branches of finance. This course includes subjects like financial management, security analysis and portfolio management, financial institutions and markets, financial accounting, management accounting, corporate finance, international financial management and so on This curriculum is designed not only to teach the fundamentals of financial management but also to equip students with the practical tools which may be helpful in financial profession. 

There are several entrance tests through which students can seek admission in M.Com Financial Management course in different colleges and universities. The entrance tests commonly taken by the candidates include CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, AMU, DU, BHU, JNUEE, IGNOU OPENMAT, GATE, and state tests. Other than these, some of the institutes provide admission through percentile scores in the under graduate examination and GD/PI.

MCom Financial Management Course Eligibility 2024

1. Minimum graduation in commerce or in any related field from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% of total marks. 

2. Other backgrounds can be considered if the candidate has relevant work experience in a particular field. 

3. Mathematics as one of the subjects taught in Class 12 is compulsory for some of the colleges. 

4. few of the colleges have their own entrance exam for admission along with the merit basis.

5. Credit toward prior work experience in finance domain could be given more consideration or waiver on certain requirements.

6. Linguistic test results in terms of English language proficiency are sometimes demanded when applying for certain institutes as passing condition.

MCom Financial Management Entrance Exams

1. CAT – Common Admission Test for MBA/PGDBM and other Post Graduate management programs offered by the IIMs and many other B-schools including M.Com. 

2. CET: Common entrance test, normally conducted by state and central universities for admissions into M.Com

3. NPAT : National Post Graduate Aptitude Test conducted by the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies for its Master of Commerce course.

4. SNAP – Symbiosis National Aptitude Test this is an examination for admission to the postgraduate course M.Com Financial Management in Symbiosis Pune.  

5. CET – Common Entrance Test for the students who want to take admission in the Maharashtra state colleges.

MCom Financial Management Admission 2024

1. Check eligibility - The candidate should have completed a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks from a University recognized by UGC. 

2. Identify some universities/colleges that you would like to attend and make sure you know the admission requirements and when they are due. Some of the options that are preferred by the students are Delhi University.

3. Online application or offline application form available, to apply for the job they need to fill the application form and pay the application fees. Attach necessary documents.

4. Take an entrance test if you are in a position to sit for a university or college entrance test. Large-scale surveys are also conducted by some to carry out group discussions and personal interviews. 

5. Find out the admission list which are released by the universities/colleges. Contact college where applied in case you were selected.

6. A student should clear all the admission procedures that include paying for his or her fees, submitting other essential documents, and then getting admitted. Visit college orientation and induction sessions.
