M.Com (Master of Commerce) in Taxation is a post graduate course which aims to provide the students with concepts and knowledge of taxation laws, financial policies and accounting. This university level course takes usually 2 years of study and includes the study of taxation disciplines distributed over 4 semesters. The course curriculum covers areas such as income tax laws, corporate tax planning, tax management, indirect taxes, global taxation system with emphasis on GST.
This course has educational eligibility criteria that any candidate must possess a graduate degree. The entrance tests that are considered for admission by different universities and colleges offering the M.Com Taxation course are: CAT, MAT, ATMA, XAT, CMAT, GMAT and state level tests such as MAH-CET, TSICET, GCET, KMAT, APICET, OUAT. Some institutes also offer admission to the students as per the mark they secure in post graduation.
