M.Sc. Fashion Technology is a two year postgraduate course to specializes in the area of textiles, apparel production, quality control and fashion business areas. It enables them to gain further understanding and skills on fibers, yarns, fabrics, garments manufacturing, pattern making and draping, CAD, quality testing of materials and garments, fashion marketing and merchandising. The program span is 2 years with eighty percent theory involving classroom lectures, practical lab sessions, seminars, workshops, and a dissertation/industry project in the final semester.
The entrance exams accepted to get admission are NIFT, NID, CEED, UCEED and state/or university level exams like MAH-CET, OUAT, PU-CET. Some of the institutes take into consideration the merit scores of the Bachelor’s degree in to the admission process, whereas some institutes have their own qualifying written test and interview. These include creativity, communication skills, analytical mind, and tech-savvy besides some skills that are tested during admission.
