M.Sc (Food Nutrition) is a second degree that takes about two years to complete. 1. Minimum eligibility criteria for the MSc Nestle Nutrition Institute of India program are the candidate should have completed his/her Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Clinical Nutrition, Applied Nutrition, Home Science.
2. Minimum 50% aggregate marks in any of the following subjects: degree in biological sciences, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, agriculture, veterinary sciences.
3. Candidates who are in their final year of study of the bachelor’s degree may also apply provisionally given that they meet the minimum marks required.
4. It is likely that some of the institutes may take entrance tests for admissions after which there are counseling sessions and group discussions.
5. Admission to this master’s program has no age bias; anyone above the age of eighteen can apply for the course.

1. The joint entrance exam conducted for the admission of the students to NIFTEM includes tests such as aptitude test, general English, logical reasoning, and domain specific knowledge.
2. Pondicherry University Entrance Exam (PUEE) – contains tests on quantitative ability, aptitude, as well as nutrition knowledge.
3. BHU Food Technology & Bio Chemical Engineering Test is afresh ness test and it covers quantitative aptitude, reasoning and subject knowledge.
4. JNU M.Sc Biotechnology Entrance Exam – it aims at testing the knowledge of the candidates in the life sciences and other aspects related to Biotechnology
5. IGNOU M.Sc DFNT Entrance Test – comprises of nutrition, food science and knowledge test, and general ability test.
