Industrial Chemistry is a postgraduate chemistry course and Master of Science [M.Sc] in Industrial Chemistry is a two-year course that is designed to cover all the areas of the chemical industry. These often include inorganic chemistry, physics and chemistry, analytical chemistry, chemistry applied sciences, and chemistry of inorganic processes. The time taken to complete an M.Sc Industrial Chemistry is normally 2 years with each year consisting of two semesters. There might be an option for an integrated coursework-research programme that incorporates a dissertation in the final year which brings the total programme to 3 years.
The entrance tests accepted by universities to admit students to the M.Sc Industrial Chemistry programs are GATE, CSIR-UGC NET, IIT JAM, TIFR GS, DUET, and state level entrance tests like UPSEE etc. Most of these tests test the academic knowledge of chemistry and the ability of candidates to pursue research at the post graduate level. Some colleges also take the merit in the qualifying examination like B.Sc for granting admissions and also the performance in the entrance test.

1. The candidate must be having a Bachelor degree in Chemistry or any other related discipline such as biochemistry, Pharmaceutical sciences preferably with minimum 50% of marks from a recognized University.
