1. The candidate should be a graduate from a recognized university with any discipline with a minimum of fifty percent marks. 

2. Computer knowledge along with good graphic designing skills is desirable especially for the applicants who have done their graduation in Visual Arts/ Fine Arts/ Applied Arts.

4. Drawing skills and creativity, understanding and ability to visualize and appreciate design should be possessed by the applicants.

5. Some institutes even give tests or interviews to assess the ability of the candidates of the particular field.  

6. Some requirements for the prospective students include Statement of Purpose, portfolio, letters of recommendation in addition to the application form.
