M.Tech. The Master of Technology also known as M.Tech is a postgraduate degree in the field of engineering, in India. It is usually a 2 years program that is oriented in a specific branch of engineering or technology. Here are some of the most popular course specializations for an M. Tech. These are fields such as Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civile Engineering and many others. Students gain professional techniques and comprehensive subject area knowledge in students’ specializing fields. It typically includes advanced courses, laboratory sessions, lectures, presentations, submission of a large project or thesis. Graduating students will be well-equipped to fill complex engineering positions in industry or move directly into research positions.
A list of some of the major examinations accepted for admission into M.Tech. programmes are: engineering colleges of the country some of the most important entrance examinations are GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering), CEED (Common Entrance Exam for Design), NIMCET (National Institute of Technology MCA Common Entrance Test) and M.Tech-Ph.D. programs. However, some institutes contain direct admission criteria as of BE/B performance.Tech. exams. The selection process normally has written examinations for testing quantitative, analytical and subject knowledge and then more interview sessions of a technical nature. This increases the likelihood of securing an admission in some of the most prestigious IITs as well as NITs for undertaking M.Tech.
