Master of Physical Education is a two years postgraduate academic degree course which is carried out after completion of Master’s degree in Physical Education. It taking 2 years to complete and the special emphasis will be given for the research work in the sports and physical education. Such students engage in special studies under the direct and close supervision of faculty advisors. The minimum period of time that takes to complete M.Phil (Physical Education) is 2 years.
The entry qualification accepted through TUEs for admission to M.Phil. The eligibility criteria for admission to (Physical Education) program include among others; CSIR NET in Physical Education, UGC NET in Physical Education and state/University level entrance tests like PU-CET (Punjab University), BHU-PET (Banaras Hindu University), JMIEET (Jamia Millia Islamia). It is mandatory to secure a good score in National Eligibility Tests while minimum passing marks in the postgraduate degree are mandatory.

1. Minimum eligibility criteria for the post is Bachelors in Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or Bachelors in Physical Education and Sports (BPES) with minimum 55% marks.
2. Pass the entrance examination which is administered by the institute or university in which one wishes to study for M.Phil. program, like PET, CUET PG.
3. As per the rules for the reserved category students, the minimum percentage required to pass graduation is 50%.
4. Final year graduation students are also eligible to apply bearing the minimum percentage as and when required at the time of admission.
