Clinical embryology Ph.D is a postgraduate course in embryology and reproductive medicine that provides students with advanced knowledge of the human reproductive system and fertility treatments. It is a 3-year full time program and gives postgraduate training in reproductive biology, expertise in IVF and other assisted reproductive techniques, embryology, and clinical related issues like infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss. Female and male reproductive systems, embryological development, factors leading to infertility, current and advanced methods of ART, and medical and legal aspects of clinical practice are among the topics studied by the students. They are equipped with the knowledge and skills to conduct individual research in embryo and fertility sciences.

The Integrated Course and Entrance Tests for the admission to Ph.D. Clinical Embryology are stated below: UGC/CSIR NET, ICMR JRF DBT BET JRF & GATE. Some institutes also set their written examination and interview for filtering the experience, research ability, and the subject knowledge of the candidates. Generally, satisfying results of master’s programs such as M.Sc. Clinical Embryology is also relevant to be taken for Ph.D offered by the University. This means that candidates are admitted based on merit in their academic performance, research potential and performance in the entrance test as well as an interview.
