1. A candidate must possess a Master’s degree in Museology or Museum Studies with not less than 55% of the total marks from any University recognized by AIU. 

2. Candidates should also have a Master’s degree in History, Arts, Archaeology, Anthropology etc., and should have work experience in the same field as well.  

3. Appear for UGC NET or SET or any equivalent examination Some of the universities may have their own written test and interview.

4. No upper age limit. There is no restriction for Indian students Only International students can apply. 

5. Good writing skill and mastery of the topic, passion to work in the museum industry. Other desirable attributes include: Possessing relevant publications.

6. Photocopy of admit card is required as an acknowledgement for the examination and interview, number of publications, recommendations of the previous guides and the availability of vacancies under the concerned guides.
