The JEE Advanced which is conducted via a country-wide competitive entrance examination is meant for admission into the Indian Institutes of Technology, IITs, and also other top engineering colleges of the country. It is known to be one of the most prominent and competitive tests not only in the country but also abroad. The JEE Advanced is another entrance exam after the JEE Main which is qualifying exam for students. Those securing lower than 2.5 percent in the JEE Mains are compelled to discontinue with the JEE Advanced.
The test determines the students on the subjects of physics, chemistry, and mathematics by a type of questions that require the same mathematical answer with integer-type questions. The test programme entails two papers Paper 1 and Paper 2 which are 3 hourly each and are worth 396 marks altogether. JEE Advanced exam date, 2024 are May 19, 2024. 1. Eligibility: First go through the eligibility criteria and determine if you are eligible for the scholarship or not. You will have cleared the JEE Main 2024 by scoring the minimum marks and getting a rank in the top 2.5 lakh that comes among these.
2. Registration: Since JEE Advanced registration is going to be an online process, the best opportunity to apply will be on the official JEE Advanced website as soon as JEE Main exam results are announced. Logins fill an online form before the deadline online.
3. Fee Payment: During the registration process, you will be required to pay your registration fees online via any of the available means which include debit/credit card, net banking or UPI. The fee details will be updated and available once the registration period begins.
4. Documents Upload: Prepare and save scans ready of your photograph, signature, and category certificate (if applicable) as well as the qualifying exam document according to demands. Submit them during JEE Advanced registration process
5. Confirm Registration: You are kindly requested to download and print the confirmation page once you go through the enrollment process. This page we can refer to it at a more convenient time.
6. Admit Card: Go to the website to get your JEE Advanced admissions hall card per schedule before the exam date. Carry a paper version with you the same as your ID card to the exam room on time.
- JEE Main scorecard: Only those candidates will be able to participate in JEE Advanced whose JEE Main scorecard indicators supposed marks/percentile of qualifying criteria are valid. This is however a compulsory prescription.
- Class 12th certificates: This year, as candidates go through the application process for JEE Advanced 2023, applicants will be asked to provide details of their 12th standard exam scores/marks, as well as their passing certificate.
- ID proof: Valid photo ID proof that includes aadhar card, passport or driving license of a candidate would be required at the time of filling JEE Advanced application form. The same ID that is carried along exam day must be presented too.
- 2 passport size photos: Along with the passport size photograph which has been scanned the procedure of registering for JEE Advanced also requires the same.
- Caste certificate (if applicable): According to the provisions, any candidate belonging to SC, ST or OBC claiming reserved quota must submit the cast certificates in prescribed format issued by the competent authority.
- PWD certificate (if applicable): In case candidates are physically handicapped, they need to submit a PWD/disability certificate as proof for the grant of reservation under PwD category.
