JEE Main Joint Entrance Exam(JEE) a popular engineering entrance test in India conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency) for students aspiring to enroll in different courses for engineering and architecture at NITs (National Institutes of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology) and GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes) across India. JEE Main paper comprises of two parts which are Paper 1 for candidates seeking admission to Undergraduate Engineering programs (B.E/B.Tech) and Paper 2 for candidates looking for admission to Bachelor of Architecture(B.Arch) and Bachelor of Physical Planning(B.Planning) programs.
The written examination, which is conducted remotely and only in computerized mode, is held twice a year. For the year 2024, the tentative schedule is: For the first attempt, the JEE Mains exam is held between 6th Jan. and 12th Jan. 2024 while the second attempt is carried out between April 6th and April 12th, 2024. The publishing of results for paper 1 is done within roughly a month of the completion of the examinations. The test is about the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects of class 12 with overall 10 lakh candidates apply for the exam each year ranked among the most competitive exams in India. Only those from top 2.5 entities who have qualified JEE Main can appear for JEE Advanced examination for gaining admissions into the prestigious IITs.

1. Requesting participation data & Application Form
- Open jenamain.nta.nic.in site and click ok button. Click the link to JEE Main Registration 2024, when the links goes live.
- Create an account by filling in information such as name, email, mobile number and other such details that you might require. Make sure all the details are correct.
- Making sure the JEE Main application form is properly filled in all its fields is crucial. Fill in personal information, providers, and general data as the necessary fields.
- Take photos of photo, powered signature and other documents, which should be submitted in exactly specified sizes.
2. Application Fee Payment
- Make payments of the application fee prevailing either online using credit/debit cards , net banking or instant payment via UPI. The cost for niches is Rs 650. For 2019 elections, the SC/ST/PWD candidates pay Rs 325.
3. Fill In The Application & Get The Application Confirmation Page
- Inspect the JEE Main 2024 application form and amend the mistakes if any. Give your consent and fill your form.
- Download and print a confirmation page that you receive upon completion of the application.
4. Exam City Selection
- To pick top 4-5 cities from a list of cities that you want to take JEE Main 2024 on, you will need to complete the application process. Alternatively, vineyards will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis.
5. Admit Card
- JEE Main 2024 admit card will be available for the students to print 1 week before the exam. Get it from that website and then do a printout. Carry it with you and include your ID to the list of documents to take to the exam venue.
1. Photocopy of the passport size photo that was taken not very long ago.
2. Confession of the candidate’ face mask.
3. Scanned copy of any one of the following valid ID proofs i.e. ( Aadhar card/PAN card/Voter ID/etc.)
4. To get the scanned photos of Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificate if previously passed.
5. The candidate needs to share their credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI payment details to pay the application fees.
