NEST is a national level common entrance test for admission to the Integrated Bachelor’s & Master’s Degree Program in Sciences for the academic session as per the NISER Bhubaneswar and UM-DAE CEBS Mumbai. The entrance examination is organized by NISER on behalf of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. NEST will target attracting bright and dedicated science students for doing sciences at the undergraduate and postgraduate studies. It includes subject of physics, chemistry mathematics and biology at the class 12th standard level.
The NEST test provides scholarships to students based on merit as a way of attracting the correct type of candidates. Personal interviews form the last process after completion of the examination. As earlier mentioned, results from the NEST are typically released in the month of June. They put the examination on Wednesday, June the 7, 2023 for admission to the academic year 2023-2024. The registration process is as follows, the registration starts in January 2023. The candidates shall be able to view their results through online modes on the official website of the commission, as well as the final answer keys by the end of June 2023. The availability of NEST 2024 is still unknown and the dates have not been released by the authorities.

1. One must have to surf the site nestexam.in and then click on apply online link.
2. Make a login ID and password for the new account and fill the application form with own details.
3. Scanned photo and signature, and documents as per the guidelines and specifications provided for uploading the images.
4. Pay the application fees through debit/credit card/net banking
5. A confirmation page will appear after the form has been submitted and this can be downloaded and printed.

1. Registration – The application process can be done online on the NEST website and select ‘Apply Online’. Visit the website and register your account with entering your email ID, mobile number, and other necessary information.
2. Nest Application Form - You will be required to log into a portal using your details and complete the online Nest application form. Ensure that you supply the right and correct personal details, academic background, and contact information.
3. Scan Photos & Documents - Scan and upload your photograph, signature, class 10 certificate, and caste certificate (if required) and any other document required to be uploaded as per the prescribed size and format.
4. Application Fee Payment - Pay the application fee through option of credit/debit card, net banking or UPI. The fees for the general category is Rs 1200/- and for the SC/ST/PWD candidates is Rs 600/-. Save the payment receipt.
5. Print Application - The completed application form is automatically submitted for processing and a copy of the application is also provided as a reference
6. Test City Preference - It is possible to log into the account again and complete your preferred exam test cities. As for the selection process, it will be operated on the principle of ‘first-come, first-served.
7. Admit Card – You can download your admit card from the link provided on the portal which is available usually 15 days before the exam.
8. Exam Day – Be at the test center by the specified time and carry the admit card print out and any I.D proof mentioned on the admit card. Never violate any of the rules that are set when it comes to the day of the exams.
