UPCET is the Uttar Pradesh Common Entrance Test which is conducted by AKTU, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh for admission to the first-year of undergraduate and postgraduate professional courses in various professional colleges and institutions in Uttar Pradesh affiliated to AKTU. It is normally written in the second or third week of June every year, though the specific date may vary from year to year. There are three broad categories of exams through which UPCET is conducted; Group A is for the B.Tech programs, Group B is for the B.Pharm/ B.Tech Biotechnology / B.Tech Agricultural Engineering programs and Group K is for MBA/MCA and other post graduate level management courses. It comprises of 120 multiple choice questions of objective type from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for Group A & B course and Mathematics, Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning for Group K course.
It will be interesting to know that, the UPCET 2024 Examinations will likely be conducted in the second or third week of June. The results will be declared on tentatively on the AKTU website within 3-4 weeks from the date of examination at upcet.nic.in. Candidates who meet the required criteria will be considered for counselling for admission to the participating institutes that will be done through the centralized allocation counselling process. It is worth stating that the counselling process is commonly initiated in the July and can last up to September.

1. It is necessary to go to the website upcet.admissions.nic.in and having clicking on the registration link. In the required fields including name, contact information among others insert data to generate the login credentials.
2. The following are the steps to follow: Step 1: Log in by entering your credentials on the website Step 2: Complete the online application form. It is essential to give only the right information about you, your education, communication, and other details.
3. Documents Upload – This includes photograph, signature, class 10 and 12 certificates, category certificate etc as per the dimensions given in the form.
4. It also have an option to pay the application fee through credit/debit card, through net banking or through any UPI payment. It is fixed according to the category to which it belongs to or pertains to. Save the payment receipt.
5. Print Confirmation Page: This feature enables the application form to be printed immediately after it has been filled, the final confirmation page is printed. This page is best for future enhancements.
6. Correction Window – In case this is announced, go to the website again during the correction window dates to make any alteration on the form.
7. Download Admit Card: Students will be able to download the admit card for this exam a few weeks prior to the date of examination. It can be downloaded and a hard copy may be produced form the website.
