Answer Key for JEE Advanced 2024: Exam Key, Objections

JEE Advanced is engineering entrance test held by the IITs or Indian Institutes of Technology for admission to their undergraduate courses. JEE Advanced 2024 Answer Key will be available with the official answer key of the concerned authorities after some days of the exam being conducted. An answer key is an invaluable tool containing the correct answers to questions that were asked during the examination so that candidates can verify their answers from it. JEE Advanced, it is comprised in 27 multiple choice questions in the area of physics, chemistry and mathematics. 

The criteria that must be met in order to sit for the JEE Advanced test is passing the JEE Main test in accordance with the minimum set marks. In the same way, candidates should meet the age limitation wherein the maximum age of the candidates is 25 years for general candidates but it may have relaxation of five years for reserved candidates. All the candidates appearing for the examination should have cleared their 12th standard or any other equivalent examination with the basic subjects of physics, chemistry and mathematics. Documents needed to submit to apply for the exam are – proof of the candidate’s age, mark sheet of the qualifying exam, certificate of the school from where the candidate passed, category certificate (if applicable), two passport size photographs and left hand thumb impression.

What is JEE Advanced Exam?

JEE Advanced is the entrance test that is conducted by the IITs which is used for the admission of the first-year undergraduate engineering course in the IITs of India. As already mentioned is one of the most difficult and most challenging examinations in the nation. The exam comprises of two papers both of which has 3 sections – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematical. If the candidate wants to write the JEE Advanced examination, he or she must write the JEE Main examination and secure a rank within the first 2.5 lakhs rangers. The paper has included the multiple choices questions along with the questions having numerical answers. There are zero marks for wrong answers but the number of questions attempted wrong will be deducted from the total marks. The selected candidates who write JEE Advanced are then offered seats in different IITs across the country. Enormous hard work is required to write this examination as it is one of the most competitive examinations in India for which preparation through coaching classes, solving papers of the previous years and books is essential. The maximum number of times a candidate can attempt for JEE Advanced is two in a year. Education: It is regarded as highly competitive if one can get a rank below 2000 in this examination.

Objections Against JEE Advanced Answer Key 2024

1. This is bad news for IITs that many mistakes have been discovered by students in the answer key provided by the institutes. It is conducted 4 times a year and more than 2 lakh students take the exam across the country.

2. Students create a change.org petition and convey their demands through tweeting and posting on the Facebook page to show how the official key contains inaccurate questions. 

3. Some coaching institutes also publish their own answer keys which is prepared based on the feedback of the students and they demand for the rechecking of the contentious questions.

4. IITs formed a review committee where all such issues are looked into by the committee. The committee follows the objection separately for each contract considering the opinions of subject experts.  

5. IITs, after 10 days of intense debates, put out the final answer key, which incorporates 450+ objections. Final marks are adjusted for over 5 000 students.

6. The students welcome such actions of the authorities because they believe that incorporation of valid concerns will increase the transparency of the system. The key generated is highly optimized.
