AIIMS Deoghar is one of the twenty-five All India Institutes of Medical Sciences being established under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It is an autonomous institution that was granted under the AIIMS Act, 1956. AIIMS Deoghar presently holds Grade A accreditation by NAAC and has secured 26th rank in the NIRF Ranking 2023 for Medical Colleges to indicate its quality education provision.
The institute has a number of degrees for the undergraduates and postgraduates in different medical fields. The major courses offered are MBBS, MD, MS, DM, and MCh. The admission process often requires passing a national level test as NEET, as well as counseling. The admission notification is normally out in December-January every year while the entrance examination is held in April-May. The forecast examination dates are April-May 2024 for the academic year 2024-25. Interested candidates should fulfill the prerequisites such as age, grade point average, etc.

1. For MBBS program, the candidate should have cleared 10+2 or an equivalent examination with minimum 60% in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. The age limit is between 17 to 25 years with 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates. The candidate must be an Indian national.
2. For BSc Nursing, candidates should have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Age limit is 17 years and above. Indian nationals only.
3. Candidates who have completed 10+2 in Science stream with Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, are eligible for Paramedical programs such as Medical Lab Techniques. The candidate must be at least 17 years of age and must not be more than 30 years of ages.
4. For MSc Courses, candidate must have affiliation to a Bachelor’s degree in the particular field with no less than 55% aggregate marks. Age limit is up to 30 years. There has been provision for SC/ST/OBC reservation as per the set policy of the institution.
