AIIMS New Delhi is the first and one of the prestigious medical college located in New Delhi, India that is operated by Medical College and Medical Research University in India. It was founded in 1956 and is located in New Delhi, India’s capital, which is a famous medical education hub, known as the ‘heart of India.’ It is a UGC recognized university and is accredited with an NAAC Grade of A++ with a CGPA of 3.89. According to the NIRF Rankings of 2023, the AIIMS New Delhi is a rank one medical college in India.
AIIMS New Delhi includes Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Ph.D, Post-Doctoral and Super Specialty courses in Clinical, Nursing, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Biochemistry and other super-speciality programmes. For admission to MBBS programme the entrance exam is proposed in May 2024 and counseling sessions in June-July 2024. Admissions are purely merit-based. For MD/MS courses, candidates have to sit for INI-CET examination which is to be conducted in November 2023. Thus, apart from the entrance examinations, the Institute also takes into consideration the applicants’ NEET score for admission to the 15% seats for the National quota.
AIIMS New Delhi thereby powers its students with an outstanding placement record in the best of the hospitals, healthcare companies, pharma firms and academics. Some of the major recruiters are Max Healthcare, Fortis Healthcare and Apollo Hospitals with an average emoluments of 15 to 21 LPA for clinical positions and 8 to 12 LPA for non-clinical position. Placement of students after 2023 was 86% in the healthcare sector and 14%for further studies.

The main employers include McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and various firms concentrating on the medical field.
