Amity University Kolkata is a private university under the management of Amity Education Group of India, and is situated in New Town, Kolkata, in West Bengal state of India. It was established in 2015 and is a constituent of the Amity Education Group. Amity University Kolkata is affiliated to the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is accredited to the Government of West Bengal. It has been recently accorded the membership with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) where it was given an ‘A’ grade. The NIRF Rankings 2023 were recently announced, and among the Indian universities, Amity University Kolkata has been placed under the NIRF 101-150 band.
This university has a vast area of specialization that cuts across all levels of education including undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level across various discipline such as management, commerce, engineering, law, science, arts and many others. Its current offer includes a variety of programs such as BTech, MBA, BA LLB, BSc, MA, and Phd among others. The admission process is usually in April every year. JEE Mains, CAT, AMUEEE etc, are some of the tests that are available for the admission of relevant courses.
Amity University Kolkata has been placed at an excellent level in the past years. Some of the leading recruiters and organizations that have posted vacancies for the campus hiring from the university are Deloitte, KPMG, EY, PwC, IBM, Capgemini, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Flipkart and many more. The highest salary package of 2022-23 was 32 LPA and the average package offered was 6.5 LPA. The placements made this year were more than 1500, and around 90% of the students were placed in sectors such as consulting, IT/ITES, FMCG, banking and financial services placements among others.
