BFUHS Faridkot Admission 2024

BFUHS Faridkot offers various medical and health science programs in its several departments or faculties. The requirements for eligibility differ based on the program and department of study. For admission in MBBS the candidate must have 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology in their 10+2 examination. The following is a list of qualifying exams: NEET. BDS program is supposed to be same as MBBS with the added condition of NEET score. The requirement for BSc Nursing is 45% in the 10+2 exams in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Other acceptable tests include PMET and NEET. The BPT program has 50% eligibility requiring Physics, Chemistry, Biology in 10+2 level. Accepted exam is PMET. In a similar manner, M.Sc Medical programs under Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry departments have eligibility criteria of MBBS degree with minimum 50% marks and PMET passed.  

Medical and dental courses are provided at the University as well as nursing, physiotherapy and other related courses in health. The streams include MBBS, BDS, BPT, BSc Nursing, BMLT, BOT, BSc Optometry, BSc Radiotherapy and so on. Important exams dates for admission 2024 are: NEET exam is scheduled for May 7th, 2023, while the PMET examination is likely to be held in June 2023. The admission process includes – writing and passing a qualifying exam depending on the program, registration on the university’s portal, filling out choices and going through counseling sessions for the selection of a seat. Several counseling sessions take place before final admission confirmation to different BFHUHS Faridkot programs and departments. As expected, the university holds very strict exam scores as one of the requirements for admission to high-standard medical education programs offered at the institution.

BFUHS Faridkot offers admission to different under graduate and post graduate courses and the students wishing to get admission in this University can fill the admission form online as well as offline. 

If applying online, then the candidate will have to go to the official website of BFUHS at www.bfuhs.ac.in. On the homepage, there is the ‘Admissions’ tab, under which the link to the specific admission you are interested in is usually included. Just like in the previous steps, you need to go through the eligibility criteria, application process, deadlines etc., which can be found on the web page and then press ‘Apply Now’ to be redirected to the application form. Additional details have to be provided, documents have to be attached, and application fees have to be paid as part of the form submission process.

For the offline mode of application, one can download the admission form duly prescribed by the BFUHS. The form, duly completed, along with copies of all documents and the application fee must be posted by speed post/registered post or hand delivered at the Registrar’s office on or before the last date. They will be able to find admit cards, selection list, and other admission-related information on the official website. Students should frequently learn about the developments.

Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
  • Enter all the required details
  • Fill up the application form completely & submit it.
  • Candidates will be allotted a user ID & password from the confirmation page.
  • The same User ID & Password will be sent to the candidate's registered Email ID for future reference.
  • Upload passport size photograph (less than 1 MB) and all the required documents.
  • Pay Online & Download Receipt.

BFUHS Faridkot B.Sc Selection Criteria

- This is determined by the performance of the candidate in the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent).

- For the B.Sc Nursing and B.Sc MLT programs, there is also an entrance test held by the university in combination with the marks of the qualifying examination. Shortlisted candidates according to the test they took have to come for counseling.

- For B.Sc Optometry, admission is made through merit list to be prepared on the basis of marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics of 10+2.

- B.Sc (Medical) courses such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry etc. have NEET UG as a common entrance examination followed by counseling. 

- According to the government norms, there are reserved category quotas for SC, ST, BC candidates in various B.Sc programs.

- Physical fitness standards may also apply for some of the B.Sc course depending on the requirements set by the university /regulatory bodies.
