Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) was set up in the year 2009 by the Indian Parliament and it is established at Ranchi, Jharkhand. The university is accredited by NAAC as an ‘A’ graded university and according to the NIRF rankings of 2023, the CUJ has been placed in the rank of 76-100. It is UGC recognized and functions as a Central University as per the University Grant Commission act, 1956. CUJ is a university that grants undergraduate, masters, and doctoral degree in various fields.

Central University of Jharkhand Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. The candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam with minimum 50% for general category and 45% for reserved category.
2. Among the requirements for candidates, candidates for undergraduate programs should be between 17 to 22 years of age. There are no age restrictions for postgraduate programs which mean that anyone can apply.
3. Those who are interested in the posts should have passed the qualifying examination from a known board/university.
4. As for the technical and professional programs, certain candidates should have passed the qualifying examination containing relevant subjects.
5. As per the government norms, the candidates from reserved category will be given age and percentile relaxation.
6. Furthermore, any other specific requirements set by the University in regard to the particular program of study shall also be met by the candidates.

Central University of Jharkhand records a good placement of students in various organizations. In the year 2024 itself, more than 75 firms have visited the campus for placements in which the highest salary package went up to Rs 18, 00,000 per annum with Oracle. The latest pay package offered to the students came closer to Rs 6 lakhs per annum. Some of the major employing organizations were Infosys, Wipro, TATA Consultancy Services, Cognizant, Deloitte, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Idea Cellular, TATA Steel in the domain of IT, software development, banking, finance, management, marketing & production.
