CUTN has been established as a central university in Tamil Nadu and it is situated in Thiruvarur, Tamil Nadu. CUTN is a NAAC Grade ‘A’ accredited university that started in 2009 and ranked 101-150 in NIRF Rankings 2023. Central University of Tamil Nadu Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. The candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized central or state board of education with minimum percentage of marks required for admission to various programs ranging from 45% to 60%.
2. Undergraduate courses are open for students of any course like Science, Commerce, Arts but certain programs require specific subjects.
3. For postgraduate programs, the candidate must have a relevant first degree in the appropriate specialty from a recognized university. The minimum aggregate marks required is 50-55 percent.
4. Sc/st/obc/pwd candidates are offered relaxation and lowered minimum eligibility norms according to government policies.
5. Other requirements such as a valid score in the entrance tests like CUET/CEE may be deemed necessary for some courses.
