Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University (CRSU) is one of the state universities situated in Jind city in the Haryana state of India. Promulgated in the year 2014 and in the year 2017, it was recognized by the University Grants Commission. At present, CRSU is ‘B’ accredited by the NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). As per NIRF Rankings 2023, CRSU has been listed under the 101-150 band among the universities of India.
The university provide undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in diverse fields including arts, science, education, law, management, engineering &technology. This universities some of the relevant courses offered are; B.Tech, M.Tech, B.B.A, M.B.A, B.ed, L.L.B, and PhD. The admission process starts in the month of May of each year and the students have to take entrance tests conducted by the university or they can take state level entrance tests for getting admission into these programs. End semester examination dates are usually in November-December and May-June because these are the times when examinations are usually held.
CRSU has a very active placement and internship cell which itself tries to get the recruits through campus interviews and training the students for the interview process. Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Tata Consultancy Services, Amazon, Byju’s, and Deloitte are some of the prime recruiters that visit the campus frequently. More than 200 students get placed through campus recruitment every year, and the average wage package offered to the freshmen ranges from 3 to 5 Lacs per annum. There is no record of a CRSU graduate receiving an offer of any salary package higher than Rs 10 LPA. The placement rate for the 2021-22 academic year was over 75 percent and students got job profiles in information technology/software industries, education & teaching, banking & finance industries.

Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board minimum percentage is dependent on the program selection. In most cases it ranges between 50-60% for arts/commerce and between 55-65% for science divisions.
2. For PG programs candidate must have passed their Bachelor’s degree exam in the relevant discipline from any university recognized by university grants commission. Minimum percentage in graduation is different programs vary between 50% to 60%.
3. Government rule for a reserved category candidate (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) shall be applicable to the concession of 5 percent in the eligibility percentage in 10+2 and graduation.
4. English is compulsory for candidates qualifying from 10+2 examination from any medium other than English. Any specific subject group in 10+2 may be required for some of the programs, candidate should refer detailed listing.
5. University also sets exams for various courses, while qualified score is required besides, the fulfillment of requirements.
6. The final admission will be made purely on merit after due consideration of eligibility, marks secured, entrance test, if any, and the availability of seats. During the counseling process it is established what the final selection of personnel will be.

Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University has a placement cell which helps in student recruitments on campus. Some of the organizations which many students get placed through campus interviews are Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Infosys and Cognizant. The maximum salary package that was offered in the previous year was of Rs 120000 and was offered by the company named American Express. Overall, the salary packages offered here are moderate to low where the maximum salary per annum offered to the candidates is between Rs 4 to 6 lakhs per annum. Most of the placements are made for courses like Engineering, Computer applications and Management. Campus drives alone placed around 65 percent of students in different sectors last year. This is due to the fact that colleges that offered the highest number of placements were from the College of Engineering with over 80% placements. To prepare the students for recruitment St. Marys placement cell organizes training programs in soft skills, aptitude test, group discussion etc.
