Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya is a state university which is established in the Durg, Chhattisgarh in India. It is a UGC recognized university, and it was established in the year 2012 and recognized by the Veterinary Council of India. It has been accredited by NAAC with ‘B’ grade and has secured 2.15 CGPA from the NIRF Rankings 2023 where the university has been ranked 134th among agricultural universities.
It provides degree program at three levels which includes undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level in disciplines connected to dairy technology, veterinary sciences and animal husbandry. Some of the famous programs of study are; Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Master of Veterinary Science, Doctor of Philosophy in Veterinary Medicine, short term diploma and certificate programs. The admission is usually done through entrance tests conducted by the university or the performance in the standard XII exams.

1. Candidate should have completed 10+2 exam in respective stream from any recognized board with 50% marks for the general category and 45% for SC/ST/OBC.
2. For BVSc & AH the candidate should have passed 10+2 examination of any stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 50% marks (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC).
3. Candidate should have passed 10+2 exam with Biology/Mathematics/Agriculture for Fisheries Science at Under Graduation level.
4. For Dairy Technology, candidate should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology / Mathematics.
5. For Agriculture courses, candidates should have taken Physics, Chemistry and either Biology, Agriculture or Mathematics in their 10+2 examination.
6. Age of all the programs is 25 years and in following government norms, it can relax for some years. A disturbing trend has been observed in this regard and the percentage of reservation for SC/ST/OBC should be as per norms.
Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya is reasonable with the students getting placed each year. In session 2023, around 59 companies came for campus placement among those companies Asian Paints offered the maximum package of Rs. 6.6 lakhs per annum. The salary offered were a average of Rs.2.8 lakhs per annum. The industry wise major recruiters include Amul, Mother dairy, HDFC bank, Indus-Ind bank, Reliance, Haldiram, Britannia, Parle, Ruchi soya, 80% of the registered students got selected in campus interview.
