Chitkara University Solan offers a multitude of courses and disciplines: Engineering, Computer Applications, Business Administration,Hospitality, Pharmacy, Nursing, Arts and many more. The eligibility criteria differ for each department – For admission to the BTech programs, the candidate must have passed 12th in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with an average of 60% and above. For BBA and BCA, one should have passed 12th standard in any subject with a minimum of 50% marks. To appear in MBA one needs to clear a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate. BPharm need 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology with minimum 55% of marks. Therefore, there is a need to set a minimum of 50% average mark in PCB in the 12th standard for nursing programs. Almost all the programs permit students to join through JEE Main, CUET or even direct admission based on the percentage in the 12th standard.

The online application can be completed and submitted to the online admission portal available at www.chitkara.edu.in. To get a hold of it, one has to go to the ‘Admissions’ page and filter the program of choice. From the online application section, one also needs to upload the necessary documents including photograph, signature, educational certificates etc. The application fee can also be paid online through credit card/debit card, net banking or UPI.

The requirements differ depending on the departments and offices of the company. For MBA, the candidate should have a bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks and the candidate must have appeared CAT/MAT/CMAT examination. Likewise, for MTech specializations such as structural engineering, machine design or other related fields, only the BE/BTech graduates with valid GATE score can apply. GPAT is mandatory for MPharm The candidate should possess BPharm degree with minimum 55% marks. For admission to BEd/MEd programs, the universities accept graduates in any field with a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examinations. MA English admits students with any background after graduation with minimum 50% marks.
