The University of Jammu is a cluster university in Jammu, India. Science courses like BSc Physics Chemistry Zoology Botany require 50% in 12th class with physics chemistry and Biology or maths It provides several undergraduate and postgraduate programs in sciences social sciences arts commerce management etc. BBA and BCom require 50% in 12th commerce stream but any stream is acceptable. Some postgraduate programmes include MSc Physics, Chemistry, Zoology which admits candidate from the relevant field and an entrance test is conducted. MA English admits graduates from BA English or related fields. MBA and MCA, both the courses accept the graduates from any discipline with minimum 50% marks. Credentials from JET or CUCET entrance examination are considered.
The University has published the exam timetable and admission calendar for 2024 intake. The process of admission to various bachelors degree courses including BA, BSc, BCom etc will commence in May, 2023. The entrance tests including JET, CUCET are planned to be held in the month of June 2023. Final merit list will be declared in the month of August, when result of twelfth standard of all the boards are published. The classes for the new academic session will start from the mid of August of the year 2023. For post graduate courses and other courses like MA, MSc, MCom, MBA and MCA admission procedure begins after the declaration of graduation results. The expected tentative date for entrance tests is in October/November 2023, while the merit list will be released in December 2023 after the conducting of counselling session and classes may begin in January 2024. The full admission kit containing all program/course details will be uploaded on the University website by March 2023.
The Cluster University of Jammu Jammu provides different levels of education including undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels in their colleges. For admission seekers, the admission can be done both online as well as offline.
