DMIMS is a deemed university situated at Wardha, Maharashtra The institution was established in the year 1990 and is named after Vasantdada Patil, an eminent educationist of Maharashtra. It was established in the year 2005 and has been providing medical, dental, nursing as well as allied health care courses. DMIMS is recognized medical and dental council of India which is approved by the MCI and DCI of India. However, it has been accredited grade A by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) for the standard education. As per NIRF 2023 ranking, DMIMS has been ranked 32 Rank 6 Among Medical Colleges.
Facilities available in DMIMS includes undergraduate programs like MBBS, MD/MS Super Specialty, BDS, MDS, BSc Nursing, MSc Nursing, BOT, BPT, BASLP, MPH and Postgraduate Diplomas. Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. As a prerequisite, the candidates must have completed 12 years of schooling with the main subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and must have scored a minimum of 50% in aggregate. Candidates must also have passed the NEET examination with pre-requisite minimum scores.
2. As per the requirements of the MD/MS, the candidate must possess MBBS degree from a recognized university with 55% marks. The ‘weight’ of marks scored by candidates in NEET-PG exam and their percentile rank is very important for counseling.
3. The minimum requirement for entry to DM/MCh super specialty courses is an MD/MS or DNB degree in the relevant field with at least three years experience. A candidate needs to obtain a good rank in NEET-SS examination to be eligible for the counseling session.
4. As for the diploma programs like DGO, DCH and so on, the candidates should have passed MBBS degree with 1 year of internship and from a recognized medical college. It is also necessary that the school secure good rank in diplomate entrance exam.
5. The BSc, MSc Nursing courses demand that aspirants must have completed 12th standard with Biology, Maths or any other course. The minimum aggregate percentage that is mandatory is 45-50 % depending on the category that the student falls into.
6. The admittance criteria for paramedical diploma programmes are available for those candidates who have passed 12th standard with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology. Another criteria for admission includes the entrance examination results.
