Dayananda Sagar University is a self financing university in the city of Bangalore in Karnataka state in India. It was founded in the year 2006 and is acknowledged by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and assessed and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A’ Grade. According to the NIRF rankings of 2023, DSU was on the 101-150 rank list among universities in India.
Presently, DSU is a premier university that teaches hundreds of courses for the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, including Engineering and Architecture, Business Management and Commerce, Applied Law, Natural and Social Sciences, and Humanities, Education and several others. Some of the key examination dates for admission to the year 2024 include – The last date for receiving application form is in the 3rd week of May, 2023, examination is scheduled to be held in June 2023 and the results of the said examination will be declared in 2nd week of July 2023. To get admission in the MSU one follows the following steps – Registration through online mode, To get admission in the particular course one has to take the entrance test of DSU as per the course one has opted for, Group Discussion/Personal Interview and Payment of fees. Some merit-based scholarships are also given depending on the scores attained in the entrance test.

Infosys, Wipro, IBM, Deloitte, Accenture etc are some of the regular recruiters of DSU and around 500+ companies visit the campus every year for placement through placement drives. The average placement record seems robust as it shows that more than 85% students get placed every year. In the latest placements, the maximum salary offered in 2022 was up to 48 LPA and the median was 6.2 LPA in IT/Software, Banking and Financial Services, Consulting, Marketing etc across domains, while stipend for internships offered by these companies & industries varies between INR 10,000 to 35,000 per month for an 8-10 week internship. Dayananda Sagar University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Bachelor degree programs require students to have passed 10+2 or any equivalent exam in their previous year with at least 50% aggregate marks. There might be other conditions for specific programs and courses, for example, Mathematics as an additional credit for the BTech degree.
2. For postgraduate programs, students need to complete the related undergraduate degree with at least the 50% average. Others may need a degree in BTech in relevant specialization as seen in the MTech program.
3. For Ph.D and integrated programs, candidates must have passed master’s degree examination with a minimum of 55 % aggregate marks. Certain programs might entail the candidate to pass in the national eligibility tests.
4. For Diploma and Certification programs the candidates who passed 10+2 are eligible to apply. Work experience within the domain of the relevant program maybe advantageous for some programs.
5. International students should have completed their previous equivalent qualifications as per Association of Indian Universities requirements to study at Dayananda Sagar University.
6. It is also added that depending on the university norms and government rules and regulation minimum aggregate percentage of reserved category students can also take relaxations.
