Tezpur University has a Department of Business Administration that offers several programs in different areas of specialization. The BBA program recognizes other national level entrance tests such as CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA etc. The eligibility criteria are meeting the class 12th examination passed in any stream with minimum 50% marks. The MBA program also accepts CAT, MAT, XAT as well as GMAT scores. The educational qualification required for the applicants is a Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks. The MBA specializations that are provided are Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, and Systems.
The Department also provides opportunity to pursue Ph.D in Management which is a master degree in business administration or allied disciplines with minimum 55% marks.

The Department of Business Administration at Tezpur University provides a number of undergraduate programs such as BBA, BCom and BCom (Professional). Candidates who have appeared for national level tests like CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA are eligible to apply for the BBA programme. The basic admission criteria is 50% marks in 10+2 or equivalent exam. These include CAT, MAT, ATMA, Assam CEE amongst others and are taken by BCom and BCom (Professional). The minimum eligibility requirement is once more 50% marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination. Candidates in SC, ST, OBC and other reserved categories are given some relaxation in minimum eligibility marks as per Government norms.
Some of the Under Graduate courses offered by Tezpur University are Science, Arts, Commerce and Computer Applications. The major under graduate programmes include the BTech BSc BA BCom and BCA.
Tezpur University offers a Ph.D. program in Business Administration under the Department of Business Administration with specializations in areas like Finance & Accounting, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Operations & Supply Chain Management etc. The eligibility criteria for the Ph.D. program state that the candidate must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks. The candidates must also clear the UGC/CSIR-NET/GATE or any other national level exams such as ICMR/ICSSR to be considered for the position. The department also accepts vaild scores of examination like CAT/GMAT/GRE for students from industry, banking, government organizations and academic background.
