The Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University located in Tiruchirappalli has educational programmes in various faculties. The eligibility requirements are; these differ from one department to another and the type of courses offered. The engineering programs like computer science, information technology, electrical, electronics, mechanical and civil engineering accept the Class 12 marks in Physics, Chemistry & Maths. The science departments that provides programme in Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Botany & Zoology accepts the Class 12 Science stream results. For admission to arts, commerce and humanities departments that offer BA, BCom, BBA, one has to pass Class 12 in any stream. Some of the accepted exams are JEE Main, TS EAMCET and DSUCET.
The University provides undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral education in faculties. These include engineering Streams, arts, science, commerce, education, law, and architecture Streams. Important exam dates for admission cycle 2024 are: TANCET - 2nd week of February, DSUCET - 1st week of April, JEE Main - January & April, TS EAMCET - May 1st week. The admission into a university is done through online application with an application period in May - June depending on the university, with entrance examinations done from February to July depending on the program. Admission is based on merit in qualifying examination and/or entrance test, submission of documents and payment of fees. The seat allotment is done in August. - For entry into B.Sc programs the minimum qualifications required are a pass in 10+2 or its equivalent examination and the marks vary with different programs.
- In case of some B.Sc programs such as computer science, mathematics and others there may be some more conditions regarding the subjects offered at 10+2 level.

2. Check your department of interest and the specific area within the department that you wish to apply to and ensure that the department accepts PhD students. In most cases, there are specific eligibility criteria in each department that the candidates must meet.
3. The prospectus and the application form should be downloaded from the university website, or you can get them from the desired department.
4. Meet the requirements laid down by the university/department for example pass in post graduation in the relevant field with desired percentage of marks.
5. The PhD application form must be filled and completed and some of the documents to be provided are transcript, experience certificates, research proposal amongst others.
6. Forward the original PhD application form with the completed application fee (where required) to the office of the Head of the Department or the university where the PhD programme is to be taken before the stipulated date.
7. Undergo for and pass any test or interview that may be set as part of the process of offering admission into the PhD programme.
