It is a women’s university in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India. It currently provides several Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in different fields such as arts, science, commerce, education, etc. Some of the most common courses include Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor Of Commerce, Bachelor Of Computer Applications, Bachelor Of Education and so on. In order to get BCom passing in Higher Secondary in any group is necessary. For BCA, Maths are necessary at the 12th class level. BEd is an educational qualification that calls for the possession of a Bachelor’s degree together with two years’ teaching experience. Admission, they can submit any of the following: West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, CBSE, ICSE or any other University/ Board 10+2 examination with the desired marks.

University own examinations or even national examinations for admission will be conducted in August 2024 with the results out by September 2024. The steps to get admitted are –online application form filling & submission, if there is an entrance test then they appear for it, then there are counselling rounds, document verification, fee payment and last but not least the actual admission. The same applies to postgraduate admissions as well, where students are offered admission in a similar time frame. - References/recommendations- this is a suggestion that PhD applicants should ensure that they provide strong academic references and recommendation from scholars in their fields of specialization.
- Publications – While some prior academic publications and conference presentations can help the candidates stand out, these are not always requirements.
- First of all, to choose a proper university, one should study the department and faculty of the university that is of interest to the candidate. You should ensure that they have a program that awards PhDs and that they have admissions open for students to join.
- Know about the fees structure and the entrance exams, qualification required to get into the program, etc Most of the programs do have conditions that one has to clear an exam like UGC NET or GATE.
- After you have compiled a list of programs of interest, you should read through the application information/find out more on the university’s website. There is often the breakdown of the lists of documents that needs to be submitted, the application fees and the time limits, among others.
- Ensure that all documents that are required to complete an application including the application form, CV, proposal, recommendation letters, exam results among others are ready and prepared well in advance the set deadlines.
