Garden City University in detail; it is a private university situated in Bangalore, Karnataka. It was started in 1992 and in the recent NAAC accreditation, it was given an ‘A’ grade with a CGPA of 3.31 on a four point scale. According to the NIRF rankings of 2023, Garden City University’s B-Pharmacy course has placed the institution in the 101-150 band and 51-75 in pharmacy. It is approved with UGC and AICTE among other institutions that accredit universities. It has more than 33 UG, PG and doctoral courses in several fields like engineering, education, commerce, science, pharmacy.
GCU comprises of faculties and schools that provide various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering, computer applications, pharmacy, physiotherapy, commerce, management, education and science. Garden City University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. The candidates interested to join Garden City University should have completed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks of its desired board of examination.
2. The candidates seek admission in engineering and technology courses must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the 10+2 curriculum and must have secured 50% or above in aggregate.
3. Candidates who want to take lateral entry admission can also join engineering and technology degree programs after clearing the diploma in engineering.
4. As for the admission in postgraduate programs for instance MBA and MCA, the candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from any university with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
5. The eligibility criteria for admission in PhD programs include the possession of a postgraduate degree in the concerned specialization with not less than 55% of total aggregate marks, passing the university entrance test and an interview.
6. Apart from passing the TUT’s entrance requirements as well as the requirements set for the various programmes, the candidates must also pass the university’s admission test or any national or state entrance tests.
Garden City University Placements 2024
Garden City University has a very good reputation for placing its student population well into various careers. Institute ensures that more than 80% of the eligible students are placed through campus interviews. Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant and Accenture some of the leading corporate have a standard practice of recruitment from Garden City University. The maximum placement which was provided last year was with a package of Rs. 19 lakhs per annum for Microsoft. The salary packages offered were reasonably good with the starting salary offered oscillating between Rs. 5 - 7 lakhs per annum. Most of the students got selected in prominent IT firms as software engineers and analysts. The University has an in-house Training and Placement cell which works towards providing opportunities to students for recruitment and placements.
