Gopal Narayan Singh University (GNS University) is a private University which is situated in Sasaram district of Bihar. It was established in the year 2017 under Bihar State Private University Act and presently it is recognized by UGC. Grade A accreditation of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has been bestowed to GNS University. The NIRF ranking of GNS University in the year 2023 is placed in the category of overall university rankings of India at the position of 150-200.
It has several faculties of Engineering, Management, Commerce, Arts, Science, Law, Education among others and it offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs. The admission in the programs is given on the basis of the National/State Level Entrance Exams such as JEE Main, CAT, GATE or the Qualifying Examination. There is also merit-based direct admission where students can gain admission based on their performance. Gopal Narayan Singh University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. For Under graduate programs applicant must have passed 12th in relevant stream from recognized board with minimum 50% marks.
2. For postgraduate programs, one needs a bachelor’s degree completed with at least 50% aggregate scores.
3. For MPhil and PhD, one has to have a Postgraduate degree in the respective subject with minimum 55% marks and has to qualify in an entrance test.
4. In reservation categories / Course like BTech, MBBS, LLB and other professional courses, candidate must have passed 12th in relevant stream with minimum 50% of marks.
5. Some concessions are given to the candidates belonging to the reserved category according to the government rules of relaxation in the upper age limit.
6. University also recruits candidates with diploma and experience for some of the lateral entry program based on these admission criteria.
