Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. The admission to the Bachelor’s course is based on 10+2 or its equivalent examination in science stream with a minimum 50% marks for general category and 45% for the reserved category. Certain programs have extra Regulation like BSc Agriculture which has mathematics as an extra Regulation.
2. Masters degree requirement is a relevant bachelor degree with minimum of 50% Marks (45% for reserved category). There are programs that, for instance, MSc Agriculture which implies that one needs to have a 4-year BSc Agriculture. It is worth to note that MBA programs do not have specific requirements for the Bachelor’s degree but the candidate should possess one in any field.
3. For the programmes MPhil and PhD one needs to have a postgraduate degree in relevant field with at least 55% marks. It also provides that candidates have to clear the entrance examination and thereafter face an interview.
4. Diploma programs are available for 10+2 pass students who are interested in various fields of study. It is rare to find any diplomas that mandates one to pass Class 10. The minimum qualifying marks required for any candidate must be at least 45%.
5. Most of the certificate level admissions are usually taken by candidates who have completed their Class 10. There are extra rules concerning eligibility for specific certificates, which are also available.
6. Each international student has to meet the academic requirements as well as provide proof of adequate comprehension of the English language to be eligible for any program.

The university in Uttarakhand is Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology which caters for under graduate, post graduate and doctoral level programs in the field of agriculture. The University currently comprises four colleges namely College of Agriculture, College of Home Science, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities and College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences.
