University of Gujarat Biotechnology located in Gandhinagar provides various graduation and post graduation courses in and specialized areas of Biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry, Bioinformatics, biosciences, health care, and pharmaceutical sciences. The eligibility of a car depends on the department it belongs to. For B.Tech in Biotechnology and B.Sc. For admission to Microbiology, Biochemistry and Biophysics, students must have passed 12th standard with 50% marks in PCB/PCM. For M.Sc. In Microbiology and Biochemistry, the requirement for students is to have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks in it. M.Tech in Bioprocess Technology and Bioinformatics offers admission to the candidates who have completed their B.E./B.Tech graduates, especially those that specialize in biotechnology and other subfields of engineering. The major disciplines and courses include B.Tech/M.Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biosciences, Biomedical Engineering, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Healthcare & Pharmaceutical Sciences and MBA with majors in Technology. The admission tests for admission in the session 2024 would commence from February 2023. For B.Tech, students have to go through the state level admissions through GUJCET examination. For the other programs, it has its own entrance examination GBPU-CET in the month of May-June 2023. Candidates are then invited for counseling and admission process in June – July depending on their preferences, ranks and available vacancies. The admission procedure includes application form, entrance test, merit list and counselling.
