Gujarat Vidyapith is a deemed university at Ahmedabad of Gujarat. Established in 1920 by Mahatma Gandhi It is a University Grants Commission recognized University. In that context it is pertinent to mention that Gujarat Vidyapith has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is recognized as Grade A. According to the NIRF rankings of 2023, the university has been categorised under the band of 101-150 universities in India.
It provides multiple bachelor’s and master’s degree with faculties of Arts, Social Work, Commerce, Management, Rural Studies, and Education. Some of the most sought after programs are the ones that lead to the award of Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, Master of Social Work, Master of Commerce, Masters in Business Administration, and Masters in Education. Gujarat Vidyapith Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. For Bachelor's degree programs like BA, BCom, BSc: clear 12th standard examination with minimum of 50% of marks (for reserved categories of students 45%) without any specified stream from any recognized board.
2. For Master's degree programs like MA, MSc: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject with minimum of 50% marks for general category and 45% for SC/ST/OBC Category from a recognized university.
3. For MPhil and PhD: Degree of Master of Science/Masters in relevant subject with minimum 55% marks. Through passing of entrance examination of Gujarat Vidyapith with personal interview for admission.
4. For Diploma and PG Diploma: It requires 10+2 exam qualification for the students to be able to understand the contents of the course properly. There are certain programs where the applicants are required to have graduation degree with some percentage percentage as well.
5. For Certificate programs: Subspecialization does affect qualification but the extent of the variation depends on what program is being offered. Minimum requirement is passing 10th standard for him.
6. Other requirements like entrance test ranking, interview etc. are also relevant to certain courses like M. Pharm and MBA etc. Aim and scope of the study: To determine the extent to which the government reservation policy is implemented in the organization.
