The examinations and admissions for courses at HNLU Raipur for the next academic year of 2024-25 will be conducted as follows. For B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) there is HNLU Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) usually conducted in the month of May or June. The registration begins in the month of January and the shortlisted students have to attend counselling which is typically held in June-July for admissions. For LL.M. programs; however, there is another test called the HNLU Postgraduate Entrance Test (HPET) held in June every year. After conducting the written examination, the candidates are subjected to interview by the admission committee, and the final admission is offered based on merit criteria that include HPET scores, academic performance, and interview performance etc The admission process for the postgraduate programs at HNLU starts in the month of February-March every year.
The process of admission in HNLU Raipur includes both online and offline forms where the candidates have to fill it. All the interested candidates require to follow the instructions and the details are available on the University website www.hnlu.ac.in. By going to the homepage and navigating to the ‘Admissions’ tab, users can then pick the desired course. All the information such as personal information, academic qualification, correspondence address, etc. have to be filled in the online form of application and the candidates will also have to upload their scanned photograph, signature and scanned copies of their class X and XII mark-sheet.
With the successful completion of the online application registration, candidates have to take a print out of the entire particulars filled in the application and forward the same along with the demand draft towards the application fees to the address mentioned before the last date. Online payment is also possible for application fees too. There is no provision for drop box or any other offline form of submitting the applications. The CLAT score is the first criterion followed by group discussion and the final is the personal interview. Some of the services include issuing admit cards, publishing results, announcing the counseling schedule, among others. Selected candidates have to produce originals and photocopies of certificates for the admission officials to warrant a provisional admission within the set timeframe.
- Application Process: The admission process of the LLM normally begins during May-June of each year. Admission to the program is advertised through an an admission notification on the University’s website.
- Eligibility: The eligibility criteria for this recruitment include having an integrated BA LLB (5 years program), or a LLB degree of minimum 3 years duration with 50% marks for the postgraduate program (45% for SC/ST category).
- Entrance Test: HNLU follows the HNLU PG Common Entrance test (HPCET) for admission to the LLM course across the country. It is usually written in June.
- Selection Criteria: Admission to the courses is granted through the HPCET entrance test and only shortlisted candidates are considered. Candidates who were selected, attend other admission rounds such as group discussion and personal interviews. Hiring decisions are made based on the cumulative scores that the candidates get in all stages.

2. Application Process:

4. Interview: Candidates who will be selected to join the university will be required to undergo an interview and present their original documents after the written test results have been compiled and shortlisted candidates identified.
